Pelleas and his companions leave Nimue and go in search of the grail, but Niumue in anger causes them lose their way in a mist where they go into fairyland.
They reach the castle of the Grail but are driven away by harpes.
Pelleas swears an oath on the life of Nimue that he will return for the grail, then Nimue descends from a cloud and curses him to search for it continually while thorns still grow.
Pelleas comes upon the scene of the aftermath of the Battle of Camlann where he meets Nimue who heals serveral of the slain and gives them to him as companions.
They meet with Kora who was made queen of the faries who appoints them as her knights to guard her realms.
These knights can be found still wandering, some have travelled with them, sometimes their numbers fall and they seek recruits to wander with them for eternity or till death.
